Symposium and partner events

The programme brings together Russian and Chinese researchers around shared themes of green chemistry and organosilicon materials.

Purpose of the Symposium

The symposium aims to advance Russia–China scientific and technological cooperation in sustainable (green) technologies and organosilicon chemistry. Building on the success of the 1st Symposium held in June 2025 at Shandong University, the 2nd Symposium will deepen bilateral collaboration with a particular focus on environmentally friendly technologies and accelerating innovation transfer to industry.

About 120 participants are expected: scientists from academies and universities, industry representatives (silicone and materials manufacturers), association and governmental representatives, and early-career researchers.

  1. 1 Green synthetic routes and catalytic processes in organosilicon chemistry;
  2. 2 Development of biodegradable and/or easily recyclable silicone-containing polymers;
  3. 3 Energy- and resource-efficient production technologies for silicones;
  4. 4 High-performance and environmentally friendly modified materials;
  5. 5 Material safety, life-cycle assessment (LCA), and regulatory harmonization;
  6. 6 Industrialization and scale-up: pilot lines and plant implementation;
  7. 7 Industrial applications: medical, electronics, consumer products, construction, etc.

Participation

Participation by pre-registration; selection of oral and poster presentations via submission of abstracts.

Registration deadline: August 17, 2026

Registration fee policy: Participation is free for researchers from academic institutions. A registration fee of 20,000 RUB applies to researchers from industrial R&D departments and business representatives.
